Combining Logical and Statistical AI.

The article describes the research work of Jennifer Neville, assistant professor at the departments of computer science and statistics at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Neville's research focuses on the development and analysis of statistical models exploiting statistical dependencies among related instances as well as algorithms to accurately learn the structure and parameters of the said models. Neville was able to develop efficient and accurate learning algorithms for making relational analysis feasible for large-scale relation data sets. She is currently working on the development of methods for dynamic, transactional and multisources networks.
