Abstract
- This article examines the use of the Internet as a means of literary production among the Iranian American community, focusing primarily on Iranian websites and blogs. The variety regarding representation of Iranian culture by immigrants is explored, considering factors including time of migration, socioeconomic class, political orientation, and religion. The use of media to create social networks within the Iranian diaspora is explored and the hybrid nature of Iranian media is discussed. The article also discusses the interplay of public and private in online writing formats.
