Abstract
- The author states that for the last quarter of the twentieth century, studies of cultural and social history were focused on particularities rather than larger themes. She examines the effect of this on studies of architectural urbanism. She declares that what is important about these microhistorical examinations is historians' dismissal of cultural homogeneity.
