Abstract

An essay is presented on the collections of Cassiano dal Pozzo called the Paper Museum. It offers a biography of Cassiano dal Pozzo who is considered as one of the best art patrons in Italy in the seventeenth-century. The authors relate the story of how the Paper Museum was started up to the time the drawings were scattered to different parts of the world. The fully illustrated catalogue of the entire Paper Museum divides into Antiquities and Architecture (Series A) and Natural History (Series B).
