Abstract
- An essay is presented that explores the division of the U.S. Democratic party before the 2008 presidential election. The author contends that voters who supported Senator Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee should focus on helping the party and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to win the presidency. Instead, the author contends they are not supporting Obama out of feelings of disappointment and betrayal because their candidate lost the nomination.
