Abstract
- The article focuses on discipline-based art education (DBAE). It is stated that oral-based curricular concepts like the DBAE serve as threats to public devaluation of the core curriculum of studio art production and neglect a relevant number of learning theories and processes. In line with this, the article offers suggestions on how to alleviate this shortcoming.
