Abstract

The article presents religious news briefs concerning politics and literature. Philosopher Jean Paul Sartre had an alleged inability to tell the truth about his political affiliations with communism and Nazism. The Catholic Church in Great Britain refused to allow gay adoption, which is being fought in court. Genetic screening of human embryos in Great Britain has been legalized.
