Abstract
- The article reports on results of a study of cytoreductive surgery or peritonectony procedures combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) in the treatment of diffuse peritoneal carcinomatosis from ovarian cancer. A description of the experimental set-up and measurement method is provided. The study concludes that peritonectomy procedures combined with HIPEC provide promising long-term survival in patients with diffuse peritoneal ovarian carcinomas.
