Abstract

The article reports on the high impact scenarios in climate change. It states that rapid and extreme changes of temperature of over 10 degrees Celsius have been the norm in the climate system over the last four ice ages which dates back to 500,000 years. The article also mentions the three main categories of extreme impact being high impact reversible events, irreversible impact, and runaway climate change. He adds that these extreme impacts are vital from a security perspective.
