Abstract
- The article presents an evaluation of the economic policies proposed by U.S. presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain. The 2008 economic slowdown and dramatic increase in the budget deficit will make it difficult for either candidate to enact their proposals, as both McCain's suggested tax cuts and Obama's plan to increase health insurance coverage would be very expensive.
