Abstract
- The article reports on the purchase of U.S. assets by foreign interests. Transactions mentioned include the takeover of Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. by Belgian-Brazilian beverage company InBev NV/SA, the pending purchase of a controlling stake in Genentech Inc. by Swiss company Roche Holding AG, and the purchase of most of the Chrysler Building in New York City by Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The trend's effect of reducing wealth in the U.S. is also discussed.
