This section presents commentaries about the effectiveness of incentive-based approach vis-a-vis penalty scheme with regards to the promotion of recycling in Great Britain. A British councilor suggests that the lack of recycling infrastructures must first be addressed before deliberating on the above issue. Another commentator thinks that neither approach offers absolute solution and suggests instead the adoption of more dynamic approach that incorporates other strategies to the promotion of recycling.
