Abstract: Chapter XI of the book "Life in the Grey Nunnery at Montreal" is presented. It explores on the author's initiative to escape from the convent together with two other nuns passing the St. Lawrence river wherein they have experienced to sleep with thirst and hunger. It offers information on the different challenges, adventures and adverse situations faced by the nuns to stay away from the nunnery.
