CHAPTER X: MCFUDD'S BRASS BAND.

Chapter X of the book "The Fortunes of Oliver Horn," by F. Hopkinson Smith is presented. It narrates that Simmons received an invitation to watch a play at Winter Garden and he was allowed to bring some of the boys. It describes the play, a melodrama of the old school with a brutal theme which Oliver thought as a horrible scene. It mentions the meeting of Oliver and John Gilbert. It highlights the Skylark band led by McFudd which includes Simmons, Cockburn and Cranch.
