Abstract

This article examines the vulnerability of New Zealand's agriculture and economy to climate disruptions. The issue of climate change and its potential to alter traditional weather patterns is forcing farmers to grapple with the risks and, in some cases, opportunities. As a significant part of New Zealand's gross domestic product, the continued viability of agriculture is of national concern. The author hopes to pinpoint the environmental and economic vulnerabilities of New Zealand farmers, as well as their potential for adaptation.
