Abstract

The author discusses the issue concerning quietism. The author cites several notable persons who have different ideas regarding quietism including Harold Bloom, William James, Miguel de Molino, and Isaiah Berlin and mentions various Christian denominations and other religions that have their respective views and specializations about quietism including the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Jews, Taoist, and Gnostic. Inasmuch, the author elucidates Richard Rorty's essay about quietism which depicts the encouragement of denial of differences.
