Abstract

The article offers tips for woodworkers on using the dado set properly. When mounting the tablesaw accessory, the tooth points on the exterior blades should point outward and the tips on the chippers should be staggered evenly. The dado set should always be buried into an auxiliary fence mounted to the main rip fence when cutting a rabbet along the edge of a board or case back. It presents safety techniques on using a dado set in creating a frame-and-panel assembly.
