Abstract

The article discusses research on the role of efflux ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters ABCB1 and ABCG2 interaction and polymorphisms in detecting toxic encephalopathy during anticancer chemotherapy. It references a study by D. J. Erdilyi et al published in the 2008 issue of "Journal of Pharmacogenomics." It has found that patients with ABCB1 3435TT genotype have more acute toxic encephalopathy episodes. Patients with ABCG2421A genotype developed more complications.
