Abstract

The article presents a study on the immunohistological localization of the estrogen receptor alpha and progesterone receptor. The study investigates the spatio-temporal localization of estrogen receptor alpha and progesterone receptor in a sika deer's uterus to ascertain the actions of estrogen and progesterone during gestation. The study gathered 21 pregnant sika deer with an individual fetus and two corpora lutea casting from day 20 to day 207 pregnancy period. The result shows that no considerable staining was discovered in uterine tissue segments incubated with normal rabbit serum replaced for main antibody.
