Abstract
- This section offers news briefs on the motion picture industry in Asia. Estimates based on BORIS and Screen Digest data revealed that approximately 5,250 films were released in Asia in 2007. UA Cinemas announced a late 2009 opening for its new five-plex at iSQUARE in Tsimshatsui, including Hong Kong's second IMAX Theatre. Moe Kaung Kin Film in Myanmar, Burma is looking to buy new and used projectors, solar cells, Xenon lamps and other equipment.
