Information about the topics discussed during the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) is presented. The meeting tackled the issues underpinning the reported incidence of post-LASIK dry eye in several published literatures. The event outlined the results of a project undertaken by the Joint LASIK Task Force, a collaboration of the National Eye Institute and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
