Abstract

The article offers information on the comparison of data in the Monthly Retail Trade Survey (MRTS) to evaluate the differences and correct known discrepancies in the data. It notes that differences of data may takes place due to conceptual and coverage differences, timing of revisions within the two survey processes , reporting period covered, different response rates to the two surveys and how revenues are reported.
