Abstract
- The article presents an overview of Australia's infrastructure spending plans. It is stated that the administration of Prime Minister Kevin Rudd will submit to the parliament AUD41 billion for infrastructure spending on various sectors in 2008-2009. The government is planning to embark on the second stage of an infrastructure upgrade. It has been announced that the AUD12.7 billion worth of road and rail projects would be funded by the government between 2004 to 2009.
