Chapter 10 of the book "Global Employment Trends: January 2008" is presented. It presents an analysis on the economic and labor market trends in the region of developed economies and European Union as of January 2008. It reports that in 2007, the region have enjoyed a solid growth of 2.5 percent, a lesser growth compared in 2006. However, it notes that this small decrease has reflected on the labor market which demonstrate a 6000 increase in unemployment in 2006 and 32.1 million in 2007.
