Abstract

Computer Machinery Corporation was only 13 months old when, in 1969, it launched a European venture. Its executives based the decision on favorable results of their market research and on the realization that the company's technological edge would not last forever. Here CMC's president describes how the Los Angeles company is going about it, and he offers some pointers for his counterparts in other small U.S. enterprises who may be thinking of a similar move.
