Abstract

The article presents the study on the features associated with chronic cough and sputum production in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in France. Researchers reviewed data from 17 university hospitals in the country. Results of the study found no significant difference between groups for age, body mass index and comorbidities. It was concluded that chronic cough and sputum production are linked with frequent COPD exacerbations.
