Abstract

The article focuses on the use of neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy in esophageal carcinoma. It is said that local response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy correlates with improvements in survival and is predictive of survival in malignancies. It is also stated that the risk of neoadjuvant therapy is delaying surgery in patients who do not respond to chemotherapy.
