Abstract

The article reports on the plan of Institute of Credit Management (ICM), the group operating the government's Prompt Payment Code to boost the number of member organizations five-fold by the end of 2009 in Great Britain. According to Philip King, director-general for ICM, only 170 organizations had applied to join the code since it was launched. He said that they intended to launch an awareness campaign to get more than 1,000 firms signed up by the end of the year.
