Abstract

The article discusses the study which examines the role of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) followed by positron emission tomography (PET) computed tomography (CT) scanning in mediastinal staging of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study evaluated the diagnostic values of PET/CT scanning with accessible for mediastinal staging. Thus, EBUS-TBNA was an effective invasive method in mediastinal staging of operable NSCLC.
