Abstract
- The article presents a study which explores the role of inflammation in pulmonary or lung neoplasia in a mouse model. It states that the study focuses on the genetic susceptibility and the pharmacologic modulation of inflammatory pathways. It mentions that a transgenic and a knockout mouse were used as subjects in the assessment of pro-and anti-inflammatory pathways involved concerning lung neoplasia. It suggests that identifying molecular mechanisms that are involved in the relationship between inflammation and pulmonary neoplasia may provide new preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic strategies for lung neoplasia.
