This article discusses the creation of a bibliography for the holdings of the Herzog August library in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. It is noted that this project has lasted 20 years and received funding from different sources, including the Volkswagen endowment and the German research association, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The author discusses the obstacles associated with the cataloging and digitization of these library materials.
