Abstract

The article discusses a court case wherein the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the decision of the District Court favoring Kansas State University (KSU) stating that the graduation of the complainants made the free speech claims moot, and sent back the case to the District Court for dismissal. In the Lane v. Simon, Katie Lane and Sarah Rice, editors of "Kansas State Collegian," filed First and 14th Amendment claims against KSU after the university terminated the services of the paper's advisor.
