Abstract

The article traces the history of women's conversation to Judaism in antiquity. It discusses some proof originating from the Second Temple Period that shows the attraction of Gentile women to Judaism. It explains the provisions of the niddah laws and how niddah may have been one of the practices of Jews that Gentiles were attracted to. In order to explain the attraction of women to Judaism, the author has attempted to explore the various conceptions of gender in early Christianity and Judaism and how these represented were represented in a ritual sphere.
