Abstract

The article presents a study which analyzes the sexual relationships of HIV-positive urban men. The study interviewed 18 HIV-positive urban men regarding their understanding about sexual relationships. It identified that these men were struggling on issues associated with HIV serostatus disclosure, sexual behaviors, selection of sexual partners. It revealed that some urban men prefer to avoid in having sex while others are engaging in sex in a stable and ongoing relationship. The study concluded that health care providers can help in facilitating HIV-positive urban men in terms of making decisions about sexual relationships to prevent the spread of HIV infections.
