Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the effect of standardized diagnostic and therapeutic protocol on the mortality of infective endocarditis (IE) patients in the Cardiology Department of La Timone Hospital in Marseille, France. Subjects of the study were divided to before and after groups of the therapeutic protocol of the researchers. Results show that mortality rates in both approaches provided positive results. It notes that the researchers' approach has a substantial impact on IE.
