QUEENSLAND LAUNCHES AUSTRALIA'S FIRST BIOMETRIC DRIVER'S LICENCE.

The article reports on the introduction of Queensland Transport's digital license to improve its security for over three million of its license holders, streamline licensing system administration and reduce identity fraud. The department selected this Unisys Corp. system to offer facial image processing technology for its licence program. The company will act as prime contractor and implementation partner for the department's facial image capture, facial image recognition and case management.
