Abstract

The article discusses the impact of using geographic information system (GIS) developed by the Water GIS Group of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) in California. It notes that Water GIS Group, led by Kien Hoang, aimed to develop a system database that manage the infrastructure of LADWP, and is also compatible for real-time sharing with other systems in Los Angeles. Hoang points out that GIS increases the productivity and efficiency of the team across the water department.
