Abstract

The author reflects on methicillin-resistant Staphylococccus aureus (MRSA) which cause substantial and fatal infections in the U.S. and is linked to skin and soft-tissue infections, septicemia and pulmonary diseases. He cites a report wherein 4 children have pulmonary infection due to community-associated MRSA. He refers the study "Phenol-Soluble Modulin α3 Enhances the Human Neutrophil Lysis Mediated by Panton-Valentine Leukocidin."
