Abstract
- The article focuses on the report published in "Nature Immunology" which describes how a cell surface receptor produces speficity through altering the production level of cytokine in response to the bonding of pathogen carbohydrates. It notes that receptors work together to produce an immune response when pathogen invades a dendritic cell (DC). It also notes that one of several pattern recognition receptors is the CD209 antigen.
