Notes on partial fronting and copy spell-out.

This article provides a commentary on the paper "Constraining Copy Deletion," by Tue Trinh, which analyzed bare predicate fronting. It discusses the Prosodic Condition on Deletable Chains which is central to the analysis. It also explains structures that are established in SVO languages with predicate fronting. In addition, the article analyzes the paper's proposal which relates the VO/OV distinction of languages to the conditions under which predicate fronting may or may not involve copy spell-out.
