Identifying the evidence base for safeguarding practice.

The author reflects on the identification of safeguarding practices against child abuse and the basis for them in the September 2009 issue. She discusses several reports published within the issue including one on the evidence for safeguarding practices by Marjorie Keys, a critique of the report "The Protection of Children in England: A Progress Report," by Jennifer Driscoll, and one on non-accidental injuries by Clare Onyon and colleagues.
