Abstract
- The article focuses on a revised version of a paper on international treaties and British statutes, presented at the Annual Conference of the Statute Law Society, held at the Institute of Advance Legal Studies, London, England on November 1, 2003. According to the article, treaties are important within the system of international law, and statutes are essential in the British legal system. Statutes modify or make new law, while treaties make and contract laws. Several aspects of statutes and treaties are discussed, such as drafting and application.
