Abstract
- The article reports that gay rights activist Cleve Jones cochaired the 2009 National Equality March and is trying to strengthen bonds between the LGBT movement and organized labor. The demonstration was timely, Jones believes, because of the election of U.S. President Barack Obama, Democratic majorities in the U.S. Congress, and the passage of Proposition 8 in California.
