Abstract
- A case study is presented that examines female absence in the workplace in hopes of identifying causes that would lend themselves to social science theory and management practice. The variables that the authors on are lateness, age, length of service, domestic responsibility, job content, work status, pay levels, hours of work and home area. They discuss their findings which suggests that outside factors can be largely responsible for absenteeism.
