Abstract
- The article discusses the administrative jurisdiction of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in regulating tobacco products in the U.S. It states that the U.S. Congress passed the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act on June 12, 2009 which grants authority to the FDA over tobacco products. It adds that the law offers the tobacco companies an opportunity to rehabilitate their image and products as they are now regulated by the FDA.
