Abstract

This article offers poetry criticism of the poems "Anticlaudianus" by Alain de Lille and "House of Fame" by Geoffrey Chaucer. It provides a critical interpretation of the two poems and cites the influence of de Lille's works on Chaucer. It depicts the differences between their literary production and the various concerns which unite them. It also examines the allegory, operation of language and nature of the works.
