Abstract
- This essay offers poetry criticism of the poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight." It provides a critical interpretation of its stanzas and offers different meanings behind several elements including green knight, the lady's role and wounds. It examines three representative cases including the concerns of various ladies and the different type of interventions. It also analyzes the importance of women to the poem's action.
