The Road to Copenhagen: Transforming the World's Energy Economy With 21st Century Solutions.

In this article the author discusses some of the issues that the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) will support at the United Nations Climate Change Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2009. Those countries, known as the G-20, that emit the largest amount of carbon dioxide pollution will be asked to establish an aggressive timetable for reducing such emissions. The NWF also wants developing nations to use clean-energy methods for development and to avoid the mistakes made in the last century. The NWF will also demand that a deal be made to protect remaining uncut forests and to provide financial incentives to prevent future deforestation.
