Abstract

The article offers information on American photographer William James Stillman and his photographic works. It states that Stillman is known for his album which contains 25 images of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. It mentions that Stillman has gained recognition in 1879 when has was called to become a founding member of the Hellenic Society. Furthermore, a catalogue of the images photographed by Stillman including the Parthenon, the Erechtheum, and the Propylaea is presented.
