Abstract

The article focuses on ant colony optimization (ACO) for an efficient algorithm for multimode resource-constrained project-scheduling problem with discounted cash flows (MRCPSPDCF). It says that ACO is significant for MRCPSPDCF due to the ability of MRCPSPDCF to be a graph-based search problem. A conversion of precedence network of MRCPSPDCF to a mode-on-node (MoN) graph to be the ACO construction graph was conducted. Experiments show that ACO exceeds genetic and simulated annealing algorithms.
